TNA to support Maithripala Sirisena (Watch Report)

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) announced today that it will support Presidential Candidate of the New Democratic Front Maithripala Sirisena at the forthcoming presidential election. The announcement was made by TNA Parliamentary Group Leader R. Sampanthan at a media briefing held in Colombo on Tuesday. Sampanthan went on to note that this decision was taken after consulting with the people in the North and East as well as after following the campaigns and the positions taken up by both President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Maithripala Sirisena. The TNA Parliamentary Group Leader added that this decision was taken unanimously.
